【摘要】:Sizingisacriticalfactorthatmustbeconsideredwhenselectingandusingprotectiveclothing.Properlysizedgarmentsaddtothesafetyandperformanceofwearerbynotrestrictingmovement.Aworkuniformthatrestrictsmovementorexposesskintohazardousenvironmentswillresultinlostefficiencyandmaypromoteinjury.Inthosecaseswhereworkuniformsbecomeanelementofamulti-layeredprotectiveensemble,itisessentialthatuniformfitdoesnotrestrictthewearer''smovementsorinterferewiththefitanduseofothersafetyrelatedclothingandequipment.Thispracticecanbeusedforselectingthepropersizeandfitofworkuniformsforfireandrescuepersonnelandpersonnelinotheroccupationswherehazardousthermalexposuresmayexist.1.1Thispracticeisintendedtoassistinsizeselectionofworkuniformsforfireandrescueservicespersonnelandworkerswhomaybeexposedtothermalhazards.Workuniformensemblesconsistofashirtandtrouserapparelcombination.1.2Thispracticeisapplicabletouniformsforbothmaleandfemalepersonnel.1.3Thispracticeprovidesastandardmeansformeasuringhumanbodydimensionsfortheselectionandorderingshirtsandtrousers.1.4Thispracticeprovidesameansforevaluatingthefitofselecteduniformsizes.1.5Thispracticeprovidesastandardlistoftextileandapparelterminologyspecifictotheclothingindustrywhichisusedindeterminingsizeandfitofgarments.Thisvocabularywillbeusefulincommunicationsbetweenbuyersandsellers.1.6ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Theinch-poundequivalentsgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonlyandmaybeapproximate.1.7Thisstandardisnotintendedforuseinevaluatingthefireresistiveperformanceordurabilityofworkuniforms.Inaddition,thispracticedoesnotprovideameanstoquantifythelikelihoodofhumaninjuriesthatmayberelatedtothefitofuniformsorprotectiveclothing.1.8Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificprecautionarystatementsaregiveninNote1.
